Roborock Breaks into Lawn Care Market with Advanced Robot Mowers at IFA 2025

Roborock, a company renowned for its robotic vacuum cleaners, has officially expanded its product line, venturing into the burgeoning robot lawnmower market. The significant announcement was made today during the IFA 2025 tech conference, where the company unveiled a trio of innovative robot mowers.
Leading the new lineup is the premium **RockMow Z1**, engineered to tackle challenging terrains with an all-wheel drive system capable of handling steep slopes up to 80 percent (approximately 38.66 degrees). The Z1 boasts independent hub motors on each wheel, complemented by independent steering motors on its front wheels for smoother turns and enhanced stability on inclines. Its advanced suspension system ensures even cuts, while its blade can trim grass within 3 cm of walls. Utilizing a sophisticated navigation system combining satellite-based real-time kinematics (RTK) with visual simultaneous localization and mapping (vSLAM), the Z1 can efficiently cover up to 5,000 square meters in 24 hours, even allowing users to create custom patterns or text in their grass via its app.
Also introduced are the **RockMow S1** and **RockNeo Q1**. The S1 offers AI-powered smart mapping and can navigate slopes up to 45 percent, fitting through passages as narrow as 0.7m, covering up to 1,000 square meters daily. The RockNeo Q1 is designed for everyday maintenance, featuring AI smart mapping and 3 cm edge-cutting, along with a unique ‘wildlife-friendly’ mode that prevents nighttime operation to avoid disturbing nocturnal animals. While the new mowers promise to revolutionize home lawn care, Roborock has yet to release official pricing details or availability.
