Google officially took the wraps off its highly anticipated Pixel 10 smartphone lineup, Pixel Watch 4, and Pixel Buds 2A during its Made by Google 2025 event this week. The presentation, hosted by Jimmy Fallon, highlighted a strong focus on advanced AI integration across all new hardware, promising enhanced user experiences and groundbreaking features.
The new Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro XL phones feature the powerful Tensor G5 processor, boasting improved performance and power efficiency. A notable upgrade for the base Pixel 10 is the addition of a dedicated telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom. Pre-orders for these models commenced yesterday, with availability in stores and shipping beginning August 28.
Google also introduced the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, marking a significant step in foldable technology with its IP68 dust and water resistance rating. Camera Coach uses AI to provide real-time suggestions for better photography, while Pro Res Zoom leverages generative AI to enhance clarity at extreme zoom levels up to 100x. Additionally, the Pixel 10 phones introduce Pixelsnap, Google’s magnetic charging system compatible with Qi2 accessories, and Gemini live translation, which was demonstrated impressively, announcing the Pixel 10’s availability in Mexico for the first time.
