Acclaimed actress Jamie Lee Curtis has publicly responded to a negative review of her new film, “Freakier Friday,” calling the critique “A TAD HARSH.” Curtis directly addressed Time magazine’s Instagram post featuring a scathing assessment of the highly anticipated Disney sequel.

Time’s review lambasted “Freakier Friday” as an uninspired follow-up, claiming it offered “zero added value” and served solely to capitalize on the original’s popularity. However, Curtis, a star of both the 2003 original and its new multigenerational twist, quickly retorted, stating, “SOME people LOVE it. Me being one.”

Despite Time’s critical stance, “Freakier Friday,” which premiered in July and is now playing in theaters, has largely been met with positive reception from audiences and many critics. The film, which reunites Curtis and Lindsay Lohan for another body-swapping adventure, holds a robust 94 percent audience score and a 73 percent critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes. It has also performed strongly at the box office, opening to more than $30 million.
