Los Angeles Store Hit in $7,000 Labubu Doll Heist
Masked thieves made off with an estimated $7,000 worth of popular Labubu dolls during a brazen robbery at a Los Angeles-area store earlier this week. The incident unfolded in the early hours of Wednesday morning at One Stop Sales, a toy vendor situated in La Puente, located approximately 18 miles east of Los Angeles.
According to the LA County Sheriff’s Department, the suspects used a stolen Toyota Tacoma in the commission of the crime, which was recovered shortly after the heist. Surveillance footage released by the store depicts individuals, their faces concealed by hoodies and masks, breaking into the establishment, ransacking it, and escaping with the store’s entire stock of the collectible figures.
One Stop Sales, reeling from the loss, posted on Instagram expressing their shock and appealing to the public for assistance in identifying the culprits. Labubu dolls, created by Hong Kong artist Kasing Lung, have become highly sought-after collectible items since their debut a decade ago. The Sheriff’s Department has confirmed an active investigation is underway, with no additional information released at this time.
