Suffolk County homicide detectives have launched an investigation following the discovery of a 33-year-old Manhattan woman’s body on a boat docked at the Montauk Yacht Club. Martha Nolan-O’Slatarra was pronounced dead on the vessel early Tuesday morning after East Hampton Police responded to a 911 call reporting an unconscious woman.

First responders and good Samaritans attempted life-saving measures, including CPR, but were unsuccessful. The incident occurred around 12 a.m. Tuesday at the Star Island Road location in Montauk. Authorities have not yet released details on who initially discovered her body or placed the emergency call.

A preliminary examination at the scene was inconclusive regarding the cause of death. The Suffolk County Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct an autopsy to determine how Ms. Nolan-O’Slatarra died as the investigation continues.
