A grueling live durability test of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 has pushed the device past 180,000 manual folds, revealing significant issues, including a non-functional speaker. A Korean tech YouTuber is conducting the extreme challenge, aiming for 200,000 folds.

As of the latest update, the device’s speaker has ceased functioning after 175,000 folds. Despite this, the inner display, hinge, and other critical components reportedly remain intact, defying earlier signs of wear and tear.

Throughout the demanding test, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 has exhibited several problems. Early on, between 6,000 and 10,000 folds, the device experienced a reboot error. A creaking sound from the hinge emerged around 46,000 folds, followed by the appearance of an unidentified liquid seeping from the hinge area after 75,000 folds. Despite these alarming findings, the inner display has shown no dead pixels, and the test continues.
