Manhunt Intensifies: Travis Decker, Suspect in Daughters’ Murders, Possibly Sighted in Idaho

The nationwide manhunt for Travis Decker, accused of murdering his three young daughters in Washington state, has intensified following a possible sighting in Idaho. U.S. Marshals are actively investigating a tip from a family who reported seeing someone matching Decker’s description in the remote Sawtooth National Forest late last week.
Decker, who has been on the run for over a month since his daughters Paityn (9), Evelyn (8), and Olivia (5) were found dead near Rock Island Campground in Chelan County on June 2, is considered armed and dangerous. The recent tip, received by the U.S. Marshals Service on Saturday, described the individual as a white male, approximately 5’8″ to 5’10” tall, with a long ponytail, overgrown beard, and specific clothing, including a black mesh cap and a Garmin-style watch.
The U.S. Marshals Greater Idaho Fugitive Task Force, aided by local Idaho officials, is now leading the investigation into the potential sighting. Authorities last week revealed that bloody handprints found on Decker’s truck, discovered near the crime scene, matched his DNA profile, further solidifying the case against him. Decker is wanted on three counts of first-degree murder and three counts of kidnapping.
A $20,000 reward remains in effect for information directly leading to Decker’s arrest. Officials urge anyone with information on his whereabouts not to approach him but to immediately contact 911 or the U.S. Marshals Communication Center.
