Musk, who had teased the idea for weeks, formally announced the ‘America Party’ over the weekend on X, stating its aim to challenge the Republican and Democratic ‘Uniparty.’ While acknowledging the new party might eventually back a presidential candidate, Musk indicated that its immediate focus for the next 12 months would be on House and Senate races.

The President highlighted that his recently signed tax and spending plan, enacted on July 4th, explicitly ended tax breaks for electric vehicles, allowing consumers to choose between gasoline-powered, hybrid, or new technology vehicles without government mandates.
