Google has officially rolled out a significant firmware update for its Nest Wifi Pro, dated July 1, 2025. This much-anticipated release, version 3.76.479819, aims to rectify previous issues and enhance device performance for users.

The key improvements bundled with this update include enhanced and more reliable whole-home coverage, notably with improved Thread support. Additionally, it brings essential stability and security vulnerability fixes, ensuring a more robust and secure network environment. A specific benefit for owners of the new Yale Smart Lock with Matter is that this update directly addresses prior setup difficulties.

This current rollout follows a false start in April where a similar changelog (version 3.75.467368) was listed but never materialized. The last successful update for the device was version 3.74.447573 from December. Users are already reporting automatic installations, with many devices updating overnight. If the update hasn’t applied automatically, restarting the router is recommended. To verify your device’s firmware, open the Google Home app, navigate to the Devices tab, select your Nest Wifi Pro, and tap the gear icon for Device settings.
