Country music legend Dolly Parton has directly addressed swirling rumors about her health, posting an Instagram video on Wednesday to emphatically declare, “I ain’t dead yet!” The reassuring message comes after her sister, Freida Parton, sparked widespread concern with a Facebook post on Tuesday asking for prayers for the iconic singer.

Parton, filmed in front of a green screen while shooting a commercial for the Grand Ole Opry, aimed to put her fans’ minds at ease. “I know lately everybody thinks that I am sicker than I am. Do I look sick to you? I’m working hard here,” she stated, expressing gratitude for the outpouring of prayers.

The 79-year-old star clarified that while she is doing “OK,” she has been undergoing necessary health procedures. Earlier in September, she also missed a Dollywood event due to an infection from a kidney stone.

Despite the health issues, Parton humorously dismissed an AI video circulating about her deathbed and reiterated her commitment to her career. “I’m not ready to die yet. I don’t think God is through with me, and I ain’t done working,” she affirmed, assuring fans she’s merely slowing down to prepare for future adventures.
