AUSTIN, Texas – Oracle Corporation (NYSE: ORCL) today announced a significant restructuring of its executive leadership, promoting Clay Magouyrk and Mike Sicilia to the roles of Chief Executive Officers. This strategic move sees long-serving CEO Safra Catz transitioning to the position of Executive Vice Chair of the Oracle Board of Directors.
Clay Magouyrk, previously President of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), joined Oracle in 2014 and was instrumental in the design and success of Gen2 OCI. His leadership has been pivotal in establishing OCI as a leading platform for AI training and inference, achieving unprecedented growth.
Mike Sicilia, formerly President of Oracle Industries, brings extensive experience in vertical applications and applied AI. He has been lauded for modernizing Oracle’s industry application suites, including Oracle Health, by integrating advanced AI technologies and developing intent-based application generation.
Larry Ellison, Oracle’s Chairman of the Board and Chief Technology Officer, lauded the promotions, emphasizing their proven leadership in advancing Oracle’s AI initiatives. “Clay and Mike committed Oracle’s Infrastructure and Applications businesses to AI—it’s paying off. They are both proven leaders, and I am looking forward to spending the coming years working side-by-side with them,” Ellison stated.

Safra Catz, who served as CEO since 2014, will continue to guide Oracle’s direction alongside Ellison in her new role.
