Apple Watch Ultra 3 and Series 11 Arrive with Significant Battery Life Upgrades

Apple has officially unveiled its latest smartwatch offerings, the Apple Watch Ultra 3 and Apple Watch Series 11, both featuring notable improvements in battery life. These enhancements mark a significant development for users, particularly with the Ultra 3 being the first new Ultra model to deliver extended power performance.
The Apple Watch Ultra 3 now boasts up to 42 hours of normal use and an impressive 72 hours in Low Power Mode, surpassing the Ultra 2’s 36 hours. Meanwhile, the Apple Watch Series 11 also sees a boost, offering up to 24 hours of normal use and 38 hours in Low Power Mode, inching closer to the endurance of previous Ultra models.
Beyond just raw hours, charging speeds have also seen an overhaul. Both the Ultra 3 and Series 11 feature comparable fast-charging capabilities. The Ultra 3 can reach 80% charge in approximately 45 minutes, with quick charges offering 12 hours of normal use in just 15 minutes. The Series 11 is even quicker, achieving 80% in around 30 minutes, providing 8 hours of normal use from a 15-minute charge. This places Ultra 2’s 0-80% in ~1 hour performance behind the new flagships.
These battery life gains are among the most anticipated upgrades from Apple’s recent presentation, addressing a key desire for longer-lasting wearable technology across its premium and mainstream lines.
