Hey friend, you won’t believe what went down at Apple’s WWDC 2025! It was a whirlwind of updates, new designs, and a few awkward silences where AI should have been.

First off, the biggest visual change since iOS 7? Prepare for “Liquid Glass”—a completely revamped interface across all Apple platforms (iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, visionOS, and tvOS, all jumping straight to version 26!). Think translucent menus, glassy effects, and a generally more fluid, dynamic look. It’s inspired by the Vision Pro’s interface, and while some critics are already complaining about readability, the general consensus is that it’s pretty darn cool (and still in beta, so plenty of time for tweaks).

iPadOS 26 stole the show for many, finally giving users proper app windows with resize, minimize, and close buttons—something we’ve been begging for! macOS 26 (“Tahoe”) also got some love, with tighter integration with iPhones (hello, seamless call transfers!), a slick new Spotlight search, and sadly, its last version to support Intel Macs.

Then there’s the AI elephant in the room: Apple Intelligence. While some neat features like Visual Intelligence (which can “see” what’s on your screen and help you search or shop) were unveiled, the much-anticipated AI-powered Siri upgrade is still MIA. Apple admitted it needs more time, leaving many wondering if they’ll ever catch up to Google, OpenAI, and others in the AI race.

watchOS 26 got a few smaller updates (a new AI health coach, live translation, and my personal favorite: a wrist gesture to dismiss annoying notifications!), and tvOS 26 also joined the Liquid Glass party. Gaming on Apple devices got a slight boost with a new Games app, but Apple still seems to be figuring out the gaming space.

visionOS 26 also got a major update to its spatial Personas, which now look far more realistic. Plus, PSVR2 controller support was a pleasant surprise! The overall vibe? A massive UI overhaul with some cool new features, but a bit of a stumble in the AI department. Developer betas are out now, public betas arrive in July, and the final release is expected in the fall. Don’t forget to back up your data before installing any betas!

So yeah, it was a big deal. Lots of shiny new things, some unanswered questions about AI, and a general feeling that Apple is trying to solidify its position in a rapidly changing tech landscape. Let me know what you think!
