Senior Israeli coalition lawmakers have launched a scathing attack on participants in the ongoing national strike for hostages, accusing them of undermining national efforts and aiding the Hamas terror group. The criticism highlights growing tensions between the government and public over the handling of the hostage crisis.

Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich reportedly claimed the protest campaign “buries the hostages in the tunnels,” while Transportation Minister Miri Regev accused demonstrators of “sowing division.” Additionally, Heritage Minister Amichai Eliyahu asserted that “pained families” of the hostages are being exploited by “cynical anarchists.” These condemnations come amidst widespread protests across Israel, demanding intensified efforts for the release of captives held in Gaza.
