Google’s AI assistant, Gemini Live, is now rolling out a significant update allowing real-time interaction with other Google applications. Following its announcement at I/O 2025, the highly anticipated feature is becoming widely available to users on both Android and iOS devices.

This enhancement enables Gemini Live to seamlessly fetch and process information from Google Calendar, Keep notes, Maps, and Tasks. Users can now ask the AI chatbot to pull data from these services, and uniquely, they can interrupt the AI mid-query to refine their request or pose an entirely new question without waiting for sequential command processing.

The wider rollout was recently observed, with the integration appearing on various devices. When Gemini Live accesses information from the supported apps, a visual indicator, such as a toast message with the app’s name and a rotating incomplete circle, will appear, signifying the data processing. While support for app snippets alongside extensions was previously spotted, the current focus is on the live interaction capability. Google is also reportedly extending this functionality to the Gemini app on iOS, mirroring its Android rollout. Users eagerly await further updates, including potential support for third-party applications, a feature also being explored by competitors like Apple with its upcoming Siri enhancements.
