Legendary heavy metal icon Ozzy Osbourne, known as the ‘Prince of Darkness’ and frontman of Black Sabbath, has passed away at the age of 76. His family confirmed his death on Tuesday morning, July 22, stating he was ‘surrounded by loved ones.’

While the immediate cause of death was not specified, Osbourne had been battling Parkinson’s disease since 2020, along with complications from severe spinal injuries. Earlier this year, he revealed he was no longer able to walk due to his health struggles.

The news comes just weeks after Osbourne concluded his decades-long career with an emotional farewell concert in Birmingham, England, on July 5, performing for 40,000 fans. His son Louis described it as ‘an emotional end to a phenomenal 57-year career,’ expressing relief that his father delivered a dignified performance despite his health concerns.
