Actress Taylor Russell has abruptly exited Amazon MGM Studios’ highly anticipated reimagining of “The Thomas Crown Affair,” where she was set to co-star opposite Michael B. Jordan. The departure comes as production on the film, directed by Jordan himself, is actively underway in London.

Sources close to the production indicate that Russell’s decision to leave was due to creative differences. The studio is now reportedly scrambling to recast her pivotal role as filming continues, with the movie still targeting a March 5, 2027 theatrical release date.

The film boasts an impressive ensemble cast including Kenneth Branagh, Lily Gladstone, Danai Gurira, Pilou Asbæk, and Aiysha Hart. Michael B. Jordan is producing the picture through his Outlier Society banner, alongside Charles Roven for Atlas Entertainment.
