As Samsung’s highly anticipated Galaxy Unpacked event unfolds today, July 9th, a flurry of last-minute leaks has offered a comprehensive preview of what the tech giant is set to unveil. Insights from WinFuture’s Roland Quandt, including what appear to be official marketing materials, detail key changes to Samsung’s upcoming foldable phones and smartwatches.

A significant revelation points to the potential absence of S Pen support for the new Galaxy Z Fold 7. Unlike previous iterations where a separate stylus was available, current pre-release materials reportedly make no mention of S Pen compatibility for the Z Fold 7, suggesting a shift in Samsung’s strategy for its premium foldable.

The leaks also shed light on Samsung’s 2025 wearables lineup, including the Galaxy Watch 8 and Watch 8 Classic. Both smartwatches are expected to feature a redesigned ‘squircle’ form factor, mirroring last year’s Watch Ultra. Notable upgrades include an 11 percent thinner profile and a significantly brighter AMOLED display, capable of reaching 3,000 nits. The Watch 8 Classic may further boast 64GB of storage and a larger 445mAh battery, while the new Watch Ultra is also rumored to feature 64GB of base storage. These details provide a clear picture of Samsung’s innovations as the Unpacked event officially kicks off.
