Hillsboro, Oregon – Dr. Steven Milner, a prominent veterinarian, has been sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 25 years, following his conviction for the murder of Kenny Fandrich and multiple stalking charges. The sentencing, which took place on February 18, 2025, concluded a harrowing case that exposed Milner’s years-long obsession with Fandrich’s wife, Tanya.

Fandrich was found dead in an Intel parking garage in January 2023. The investigation, led by Hillsboro Police Detectives Stephanie Winter and Devin Rigo, uncovered a complex web of harassment. Milner, who had previously had an affair with Tanya, had stalked Kenny for years, placing tracking devices on his car and making threats. He even attempted to obscure surveillance cameras at the Intel facility on the day of the murder.

Despite the crucial piece of evidence—the maroon minivan believed to be the primary crime scene—being inadvertently destroyed at a scrap yard, prosecutors John Gerhard and Mahalee Streblow built a compelling case. Key evidence included Steven Milner’s DNA found on Kenny Fandrich’s hands and surveillance footage placing Milner at the Intel parking garage and a Home Depot where he purchased items for his disguise.

Milner testified during the trial, admitting to spray-painting cameras and being at the scene, but claimed self-defense, alleging Fandrich attacked him. The jury, however, deliberated for six hours before finding him guilty on January 13, 2025. During the sentencing, Tanya Fandrich delivered a powerful statement, condemning Milner’s actions and describing him as a “vengeful, deceptive, manipulating, self-serving, aggressive, hateful, lying predator.”

The case has drawn attention to the severe consequences of stalking, with prosecutor Mahalee Streblow emphasizing the importance of taking such threats seriously. Kenny Fandrich’s attorney, Michael Fuller, highlighted the limitations of the legal system in protecting victims, noting that Fandrich had done everything within his power to seek protection. Fuller has since filed a wrongful death suit against Milner, seeking substantial damages for Fandrich’s estate.
