Bill Burr in Talks to Join Star-Studded Cast of ‘The Social Network Part II’

Comedian and actor Bill Burr is reportedly in discussions to join the highly anticipated sequel, ‘The Social Network Part II,’ written and directed by Academy Award-winner Aaron Sorkin. The film, from Sony Pictures, is assembling an impressive ensemble cast, with Jeremy Allen White, Mikey Madison, and Jeremy Strong already in the process of finalizing their deals.
While the original 2010 hit chronicled the inception of Facebook, this new installment is set to delve into the darker aspects of the social media giant. Inspired by Jeff Horwitz’s ‘The Facebook Files’ series for The Wall Street Journal, the movie will explore the company’s internal reports on social media’s negative impact on youth, the proliferation of misinformation, and its contribution to the January 6, 2021, insurrection.
Jeremy Allen White is slated to portray reporter Jeff Horwitz, Mikey Madison will play whistleblower Frances Haugen, and Jeremy Strong is expected to take on the role of CEO Mark Zuckerberg. Sources indicate that Burr’s character will be either fictional or an amalgamation of various figures. Production for the drama is slated to commence later this year in Vancouver.
