In dramatic categories, ‘Severance’ showcased its strength, securing Best Actress for Britt Lower and making history with Tramell Tillman becoming the first Black man to win Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series.

Veteran actress Jean Smart continued her acclaimed run, taking home Best Actress in a Comedy for ‘Hacks,’ while her castmate Hannah Einbinder won Best Supporting Actress. The limited series category saw ‘Adolescence’ shine, with Owen Cooper becoming the youngest-ever male winner in an acting category for his supporting role, alongside Erin Doherty for Best Supporting Actress, and Philip Barantini for Best Directing.

Surprise victories included Katherine LaNasa’s win for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for ‘The Pitt,’ and Jeff Hiller’s triumph for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for ‘Somebody Somewhere,’ beating out several high-profile nominees. Other notable wins included Adam Randall for Best Directing in a Drama Series for ‘Slow Horses,’ and Dan Gilroy for Best Writing in a Drama Series for ‘Andor.’

In reality and variety, ‘The Traitors’ secured Best Reality Competition Program, while ‘Last Week Tonight With John Oliver’ won both Best Writing and Best Scripted Variety Series. ‘SNL50: The Anniversary Special’ took home Best Variety Special (Live). The main awards followed the Creative Arts Emmy Awards, which were presented on September 6 and 7.
