Xiaomi Launches Redmi Note 15 with Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, New Camera, Starting at CNY 999

Xiaomi has officially unveiled the Redmi Note 15, bringing a substantial performance upgrade and notable changes to its popular smartphone line. The new device is equipped with the more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, replacing the Dimensity 7025 Ultra from its predecessor. Benchmarks suggest this new processor delivers an impressive 18% performance improvement.
Alongside the chipset upgrade, the Redmi Note 15 features a new camera setup, incorporating the Light Hunter 400 sensor. This marks a departure from the Sony LYT-600 found in the Redmi Note 14, with early indications suggesting this could be a potential downgrade in camera performance.
Currently available in China, the Redmi Note 15 comes in Azure Blue, Midnight is Dark, and Starlight White color options. Pricing starts at a competitive CNY 999 (approximately $139) for the 6 GB RAM/128 GB storage configuration, and goes up to CNY 1,499 (approximately $209) for the 12 GB RAM/256 GB storage variant. While international availability has not yet been confirmed by Xiaomi, recent leaks suggest the handset will eventually launch globally as the Redmi Note 15 5G.
