Sofer recently announced on social media her decision to leave Los Angeles with her husband, Sanford Bookstaver, after nearly 35 years. This move initially fueled speculation that her character, Lois, would be written off the show.

However, an update from Soap Opera Digest clarifies that Sofer will not be departing General Hospital. Instead, she plans to commute to Los Angeles for filming as needed, a practice common among several other cast members. This arrangement ensures that Lois Cerullo will continue to be a part of Port Charles, much to the relief of fans.
